One week to go! Please read this important announcement.

Your CFC family in Maryland is looking forward to your visit! Just a few reminders before you leave for your trip:

Whether you will be flying or driving, please check out our website on how to get here: http://sfcusaconference.net/index.php/page/2.html so that you can plan your travel systematically.

  • For delegates flying to Reagan airport, our website will give you instructions on taking the Metrorail to the conference venue. However, Metro will conduct a complete track overhaul between the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Pentagon City Metrorail stationsfrom 10 p.m., Friday, September 4, to 4 a.m., Tuesday, September 8. But don’t worry because shuttle buses will be available to take you from National Airport station to Pentagon City station. For those arriving way before 10 p.m. on Friday, you are not affected by this track overhaul on your way to the conference. For more information about traveling by Metro Rail, please refer to this document: http://sfcusaconference.net/media/Metro-directions.pdf

  • For delegates driving to the conference venue, directions are posted on our website. Important: There are three Marriotts in Bethesda. Please make sure that your destination is 5701 Marinelli Road, Bethesda, Maryland 20852 (which is the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center). There is a parking fee of $12 per day (cash and/or credit card payments are accepted).

For those arriving at the venue on Friday, Sept. 4th between 9 a.m.-10:30 p.m.: To check-in your room, go to the hotel front desk where you will be given your room key. Check-in is at 3:00 p.m., but if you arrive early, you may try to check-in at 1:00 p.m. The hotel allows early check-in as long as your assigned room has been cleaned already. As for your conference ID packet, you may obtain this from the conference center registration kiosk (located on the ground level of the conference center).

For those arriving at the venue after 10:30 p.m. on Friday, the registration kiosk will be closed. Please proceed directly to the front desk of the hotel lobby to get your room key. You may get your conference ID packet the following morning at the registration table near the entrance of ballroom A of the conference center.

For those arriving on Saturday, Sept. 5th, please proceed directly to the registration table near the entrance of ballroom A to get your ID and conference packet. You will be instructed as to where you may store your luggage while you are attending the sessions. You will be allowed to check-in your room after 4:30 p.m. when the last major session for the afternoon is done.

On Friday, confessions will be available at the Timberlawn Room (1st level of conference center) from 2-5 p.m.

Please be reminded that there will be no meals provided on Friday. However, there are many eateries within the vicinity. Please have early dinner before joining the opening session at 6 p.m.

For the couples who have registered their kids for Kids Watch, please take your children outside the entrance of the ballroom at 7:45 p.m. on Friday (right after Mass). Our Kids Watch team will accompany them to the hospitality suite.

Make sure you have extra cash or checks for purchasing souvenir shirts, Christian books, etc. Our CFC/FLAME souvenir/book table will not transact using credit cards.

Regional shirts are to be worn on Saturday.

Attire for the Saturday dinner party is formal: Coat and Tie or Tux for the men, Evening Gown or Cocktail Dress for the women.

Have a safe trip! God bless.
